Dorking School of Performing Arts was launched in September 2017 as part of the Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival, with the aim of providing affordable and accessible drama activities for young people in the town and surrounding areas.
Since it’s launch, the school now runs two weekly drama classes for 6-14 year olds and recently held a sell out half term drama workshop. Based at Friend’s Meeting House on the high street, the school strives to make all it’s activities affordable, starting at just £4.85 per session. Fees are never charged termly or half termly; instead, they are payable either weekly or monthly via Direct Debit, helping spread the cost of the classes. Free trials are available for all new students and a 50% discount is available for siblings. The October half term drama workshop was kindly sponsored by the Dorking Brasserie, which allowed the school to give away three free places as well as reducing the cost of each place to just £10.
