As a children’s activity provider, keeping our students safe is paramount and as a not-for-profit organisation, we focus on our students enjoying drama in a safe and supportive environment. There are various policies that we have put in place with regards to staffing, venue use and child protection protocol. Below are just a few ways in which we keep your children safe, but you can also read our current Child Protection Policy here.
Safer Recruiment Process
We don’t just let anyone work for us. We hand pick all our staff to ensure that your child gets the very best out of our activities. After an inital application, potential teachers and assistant drama teachers will be shortlisted based on their experience and passion for teaching young people. Those who are shortlisted will then undergo interiews with management. Once a decision has been made, successful applicants will undergo background checks including an Enhanced DBS and references.
All staff undergo initial training in child protection and Special Educational Needs, while our teachers also complete a 6 hour Level 2 First Aid course. Throughout the year, all our teaching staff undergo regular update training and we maintain constant communication between them and HQ.
All our teachers are First Aid trained, ensuring your son or daughter are in the safest hands possible. Furthermore, all our venues are vetted to ensure that they are safe before any activity commences.
