Current Opportunities
Activity Assistant (Newport Pagnell)

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with our regular and/or one-off drama activities in Milton Keynes. You will be working alongside our drama teachers and assist in supporting our students, including those with Special Educational Needs. You will also be the first point of contact on arrival for parents and students, providing any help or information where necessary. Our activities run throughout the year, from weekly drama classes to after school drama clubs and therefore, there are range of hours available for volunteering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Supporting our students, including those with Special Educational Needs, throughout each activity
– Providing further information to parents/guardians on arrival and exit

REQUIREMENTS

– Good communication skills
– Enthusiasm to learn about the organisation, our activities and our ethos

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

– Teaching experience
– First Aid qualification

Administrator (Head Office)

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a volunteer administrator to provide a variety of administrative support for Big Bold Youth CIC, a not-for-profit organisation, based in Milton Keynes. This role has hours to suit (4-24 hours available per week) from Monday-Sunday.

As an administrator you will be working alongside other team members, while also being the first point of contact for enquiries and current participants. From finding community venues for our activities to communicating with parents/guardians, you will also handle bookings with educational establishments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Answering phone calls during office hours and either forwarding or providing further information to the enquirer
– Taking bookings for activities via phone and/or email
– Respond to emails
– Perform filing and collation of paperwork
– Complete and compile research (for workshops and potential sponsors) and

– Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
– Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Email)
– Ability to organise
– Enthusiasm to learn about the organisation, our activities and our ethos

Fundraising Officer (Head Office)

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a volunteer fundraising officer to assist in applying for funding and managing donations for Big Bold Youth CIC, a not-for-profit organisation based in Milton Keynes. This role has hours to suit (4-24 hours available per week) from Monday-Sunday.

As a Fundraising Officer you will be working alongside other team members to promote regular donations to support the organisation as well as applying for various grants to support our activities for young people.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Promoting regular donations from the public
– Researching and applying for funding
– Creating new ideas to raise money for the organisation

REQUIREMENTS

– Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
– Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Email)
– Ability to organise
– Enthusiasm to learn about the organisation, our activities and our ethos

Marketing Assistant (Head Office)

We are currently looking for a volunteer marketing assistant to assist in the promotion of our activities at Big Bold Youth CIC, a not-for-profit organisation based in Milton Keynes. This role has hours to suit (4-24 hours available per week) from Monday-Sunday.

As a Marketing Officer you will be working alongside other team members to promote activities, from weekly drama classes to after school drama clubs at schools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Promoting activities for young people, mainly through online services
– Creating new ideas for marketing the organisation

– Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
– Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Email)
